- Due to cost constrains or power consumption considerations, mobile devices such as an iPod or smart phone do not incorporate high-performance headphone amplifiers. The Icon Mobile's optional iPod connector permits the user to bypass the iPod's volume control. The compact, lightweight Icon Mobile ™, which can drive a variety of headphones, connects to these devices via 3.5mm stereo input.

The ALO P-Vcap docking system uses the highest quality OIMP capacitors in the audio market today. VH-audio's Oil Impregnated Metallized Polypropylene capacitors.

The audio signal is sent via a ALO line out dock cable to the P-Vcap docks mini input. The audio out is via a RCA or mini to be sent to your home amp or portable head amp. These P-Vcap docks are going to deliver the fuller more resolved sound from your iMod compared to that of a imod cable. For portability the P-Vcap dock is the best sound you can get from a iMod. Using THE best interconnect the sound of this will take your portable set up to the limit. Please use a good ipod line out dock and a good mini to mini for best results. Do not use a "iMod" line out dock cable as they already have the capacitors in it. The P-Vcap dock is only for iMods, this P-Vcap dock will not yield any increase in audio quality unless used with a imod.
All of these P-Vcap docks are hand built here at ALO and assembled with care fit and finished to give you a sound that will rival expensive CD sources that will cost 2 to 3 times this cost. These feature high quality connectors, point to point wiring with heavy gauge solid silver in cotton wiring. The P-Vcap dock is made to be use with a imod and not with a regular ipod.
